The more common symptoms of heart disease include nausea, dizziness, a sensation of pressure or heaviness on the chest, frequent breathlessness, pain in the back or shoulder area, irregular heart beats and heart palpitations. If you experience any of these symptoms of heart disease, you should consult a doctor for a proper check up especially if you belong to the high risk group for heart disease.

The high risk group for heart disease include risk factors such as gender, age, pre-existing medical condition and lifestyle habits. Early detection of heart disease is key to a successful treatment and cure. Do not wait till the heart disease progresses to a stage where heart disease treatment would be less than optimal. So check yourself for the symptoms of heart disease discussed above. If in doubt, go for a medical check up. Of course, these symptoms could also be indicative of other benign medical condition. Still, it is better to be safe than sorry.
